Composition/Arranging
Composing music since the age of 9 and honing his ear and artistic sensibility over the years, Jara Ra is capable of producing solid melodies and song structure, as well as moodscapes suitable for film and performance soundtracks. With a B.A. in World Music Studies, Jara has been the recipient of excellent composition and theory training at San Francisco State University.
As a songwriter, he has composed countless songs over the years and currently features a number of vocal and instrumental compositions in his group Blue Bone Express.
Live Performance
StudiO FictuS owner Jara Ra performs regularly with S.F. Bay Area groups Lord Loves A Working Man, The Elationists Revival Band, and Blue Bone Express of which he is the founder. He also leads a parlor trio under his own name.
With years of training and a B.A. in World Music Studies under his belt, Jara has extensive experience performing a wide variety of musical styles from jazz and latin to pop and r&b with some world class players.
Jara also has direct access to rehearsal and recording space via his relationship with recording facility Moondog Studios.

Music Production
Jara is resourceful in music production and has finished several great recordings of live and studio music, from jazz bands to pop to soundtracks for film. He has access to great and diverse producers including Horus Tolson, and Freddy Stylez, as well as world-class recording facilities and street-wise ideas.
